To join AAMT you need to be enrolled in or hold the following qualifications:

HLT40302 or HLT40307 or HLT40312 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice
HLT50302 or HLT50307 Diploma of Remedial Massage
21920VIC or 21511VIC Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy

If you meet the above criteria, AAMT must receive the following documentation as soon as possible after lodging your application in order to activate your membership and for your details to be forwarded to the Private Health Funds:

Massage Education Details - Certified* certificate or full transcript (For student membership, attach a Certified* letter from your school confirming your enrolment)
Copy of First Aid Certificate
Certificate of Currency (for Insurance)
Two Written Certified* Character References (Referees must not be relatives, staff of your graduating college, members of AAMT Board or Divisional Committee)
Statutory Declaration - signed, dated and witnessed (download here)

* Original and copies of documents can be certified by taking them to a person who is authorized to witness/certify. Persons who are authorized to witness/certify (under the Commonwealth Statutory Delcarations Act 1959) include members of certain professions such as chiropractor, dentist, legal practitioner, medical practitioner, nurse, patent attorney, pharmacist, physiotherapist, psychologist, trade marks attorney, veterinary surgeon and other persons including, but not exhaustively, Justice of the Peace, accountant, teacher, marriage celebrant police officer.
